امنیت در خلیج فارس نیازمند تعامل ۸ کشور منطقه به ویژه ایران و عربستان است

سید حسین موسویان در مقاله‌ای در مجله دانشمندان اتمی آمریکا با اشاره به تصور بانیان خروج ترامپ از برجام نوشت: آنها فکر می‌کردند با اعمال فشار حداکثری و به صفر رساندن روابط بانکی و مالی و صادرات نفت ایران، اقتصاد ایران از هم خواهد پاشید، شورش‌های مردمی سراسر ایران را فراخواهد گرفت، ایران قدرت و نفوذ منطقه‌ای خود را از دست خواهد داد و در نتیجه حاکمیت فعلی ایران از هم خواهد پاشید یا حداقل ایران از موضع ضعف به پای میز مذاکره خواهد آمد.
